This project aims to reintegrate at least 300 displaced girls into the education system in the Tillaberi and Tera regions of Niger. By providing academic catch-up programs and access to civil documentation, we empower young girls to reclaim their right to education and build a brighter future despite crisis-induced disruptions.
Due to armed conflicts, natural disasters, and forced displacement, nearly 3 million children in Niger are out of school, with displaced girls being the most vulnerable. The lack of civil documents prevents school enrollment, while economic hardship and social norms often push them toward early marriage instead of education. Without urgent intervention, these girls face lifelong marginalization.
This project offers academic catch-up classes, school supply kits, and digital literacy training to help girls return to school. We will also organize legal aid sessions and mobile civil registration campaigns to ensure they obtain necessary documents for enrollment. Community awareness campaigns will engage parents and leaders to support girls' education and long-term empowerment.
By ensuring the education of displaced girls, we break cycles of poverty and vulnerability while fostering community resilience. Educated girls are less likely to marry early, more likely to contribute economically, and better equipped to advocate for their rights.
