Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF) is taking important steps toward a long-term dream: establishing a state-of-the-art Deaf Centre where Deaf children, youth, women, and families can access essential services under one roof.
DWAF is currently in dialogue with local and provincial government authorities, as well as potential partners and donors, to secure suitable space and support for this initiative. Our vision is to develop an inclusive and accessible centre that can bring together education, vocational and digital skills training, employment support, sign language services, health guidance, counselling, community activities, and other essential services for the Deaf community.
For many Deaf people, accessing these services separately can be difficult because of communication barriers, limited resources, and a lack of accessible facilities. A dedicated Deaf Centre would provide a safe and welcoming space designed around their communication and accessibility needs.
We are hopeful that, with the continued support of our GlobalGiving donors, government stakeholders, corporate partners, and friends of DWAF, we can turn this vision into reality—one brick at a time.
Every contribution brings us closer to creating a permanent home of opportunity, dignity, learning, and empowerment for the Deaf community. We invite our GlobalGiving family to continue standing with us as we work toward building a centre that can serve Deaf people for generations to come.
