Inspiring Students through Creativity & Technology

By Ponirin | EBPP Maths teacher

Indonesian Independence Day event celebration
Indonesian Independence Day event celebration

In July and August, we worked really hard to prepare our students for EBPP’s big annual 17 August Independence Day celebration. We explored cool activities like drama, Balinese dances, modern dance, and songs. The English Club, where student with high motivation in improving their English, added another layer of excitement with their performances in drama, poetry, and songs. Witnessing our students shine during the celebration was amazing, and it was all thanks to our fantastic teamwork.

But the excitement didn't end there! Since introducing computer lessons for the first time to our 5th-grade elementary students in July, our junior and senior high students had the chance to learn in our new EBPP computer lab, all thanks to our generous donors. Teaching computer skills can be a bit tricky, but seeing our students acquire skills they'll need in the future is incredibly rewarding.

Then came OUR special day on 25 November: National Teacher's Day! We felt a deep sense of pride when our students threw a surprise party to express their gratitude. Being part of their learning journey is truly special.

As the year comes to a close, we're busy with evaluations. This time, we are trying something new – using Google Sheets to create questions and keep track of grades. It not only makes printing report cards easier but also showcases how we are using technology to enhance the learning experience.

A huge shoutout to our donors – you are amazing! Your support allows us to provide the best possible experience for our students. Thank you for being an integral part of our teaching adventure!
