This project provides 20 survivors in war-affected areas of Ukraine with vital medical care, psychological counseling, and legal assistance after experiencing sexual violence. By offering trauma healing services, we help survivors regain dignity, safety and begin rebuilding their lives in communities.
The war in Ukraine has left survivors of sexual violence, especially in rural areas, with limited access to medical, psychological, or legal support. Damaged infrastructure, stigma, and insecurity worsen their trauma, trap them in silence. We help survivors heal, regain dignity, and rebuild their lives, breaking the cycle of violence and strengthening families and communities in war-affected regions.
This project supports 20 war-affected survivors in Ukraine with tailored recovery services: medical exams via trusted local clinics, online trauma therapy by experienced psychotherapists, and flexible legal aid in person or online. Survivors choose what, when, and how to engage. Our do-no-harm model ensures safety and autonomy, avoiding retraumatization. This holistic, survivor-led care builds resilience and restores lives in the war-affected regions.
Timely care for survivors of sexual violence prevents lasting health issues and supports emotional healing. With therapy, medical recovery and legal aid, many reconnect with family, return to work, and seek justice. As they rebuild their lives, their children thrive, families gain stability, and silence around sexual violence begins to break. Supported survivors often lead by example, helping others heal and strengthening community resilience, especially in war-affected areas.
