Challenge

In Uruguay, only 50% of students finish highschool, and only 16,1% finishes in the poorest contexts. This decreases opportunities throughout the life of these students.

Solution

Ensena Uruguays teachers are specially recruited and trained to work with teenagers in poor communities. We work not only with academic subjects but also with an important everyday work in socioemotional skills. Having a motivating teacher that helps you to achieve your highest potential is key in teenage years.

Long-Term Impact

We believe in creating a movement of leaders that after the 2 year program will continue their life working towards education.
