We set out to implement the SheTech Boot Camp to train 200 female youths on tech skills. We were not able to raise funds, but we were able to train 26 female youths from August 12-31, 2024.
The training courses included:
The training went well and was impactful. 20% of the participants have taken up internship opportunities in different companies for three months, while another 25% have started their own business or employed in similar roles based on their learning path.
One of the challenges we exprerienced was the insufficient laptops to be used during the workshops for faster learning and implementation. About five to six participants had to learn using one laptop.
We are looking forward to the next stream by December 2024, and making even more impact.
