What makes a community safer for women and girls?
It is not only the services available after violence occurs.
It is also what that community decides it will no longer tolerate.
We will not normalize violence.
We will not excuse exploitation.
We will not treat child marriage as inevitable.
We will not allow stigma to prevent people from seeking information and support.
We will not silence women and girls when their rights are violated.
Those changes do not happen overnight.
They begin through education, dialogue, leadership, and people willing to question harmful norms.
Through Support Sexual Health Rights for Women and Girls, GoGreen aims to engage 400 women, girls, and young people affected by conflict and displacement in Benue State.
Peer-led education will help young people access accurate and age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health information.
Community dialogue will create opportunities to challenge harmful beliefs.
Awareness activities will promote gender equality, dignity, and understanding of rights.
And participants will be better informed about reporting gender-based violence and seeking appropriate services.
This project is ultimately about more than individuals.
It is about the kind of communities we want to build.
Communities where women and girls are respected.
Where young people are informed.
Where survivors can seek support without shame.
Where violence is challenged rather than normalized.
We have not yet received our first donation.
You can help change that today.
Donate and help communities begin saying, together: “This is what we will no longer accept.”
