Support Sexual Health Rights for Women and Girls

Some subjects are difficult to talk about.

Sexual violence.

Child marriage.

Reproductive health.

Consent.

Bodily autonomy.

Gender-based violence.

But when communities cannot talk openly and safely about these issues, misinformation can flourish and harmful practices can remain unchallenged.

Silence does not make these problems disappear.

For women, girls, and young people affected by conflict and displacement in Benue State, stigma and cultural taboos can make it difficult to access accurate sexual and reproductive health information or speak up when their rights are violated.

GoGreen believes informed communities can become safer communities.

Through Support Sexual Health Rights for Women and Girls, we aim to reach 400 women, girls, and young people with rights-based education, peer support, community dialogue, and awareness initiatives.

We want young people to have accurate information instead of dangerous myths.

We want women and girls to know where and how to seek support.

We want communities to question norms that enable violence, exploitation, and child marriage.

And we want conversations about sexual and reproductive health to be grounded in dignity, rights, safety, and respect.

This work requires courage.

It also requires people willing to support it.

At this moment, the project has not yet received its first donation.
