Every woman and girl deserves to know that her body belongs to her.
She deserves accurate information about her health.
She deserves to understand her rights.
She deserves to make informed decisions about her future.
And she deserves to live free from violence, coercion, exploitation, and harmful practices.
Yet for many women and girls affected by conflict and displacement in Benue State, these fundamental rights can be difficult to exercise.
Poverty, displacement, stigma, harmful social norms, and limited access to sexual and reproductive health information can leave women and young people without the knowledge, confidence, and support they need to protect their wellbeing and seek help when their rights are violated.
GoGreen wants to help change this.
Through Support Sexual Health Rights for Women and Girls, we aim to empower 400 women, girls, and young people with accurate, age-appropriate and rights-based sexual and reproductive health information.
Through peer-led education, community dialogues, awareness activities, and connections to appropriate support, participants will be better equipped to understand their rights, challenge harmful beliefs, report gender-based violence, and seek available services.
Knowledge alone cannot end gender-based violence.
But knowledge can help break silence.
It can challenge misinformation.
It can strengthen confidence.
And it can help people recognize that violence and harmful practices should never be accepted as normal.
Today, this project is still waiting for its first donor.
Will you be the person who helps us begin?
Donate today. Help a woman or girl know her rights, strengthen her voice, and make informed choices about her future.
