2) Teachers training
Vidya Chetana has been associated with Vanavasi Kalyana, Karnataka, Karnataka and as such have been working with tribal community for years now. In Sirsi we do have 25 learning centres supported by Vidya Chetana which provides holistic assistance to 600+ children annually.
Majority of the teaching faculty are from the same community which wants to ensure their participation in making a passionate positive change among the coming generations of their own community. It's only desire and grit that drives many of these teachers though some of them lack the proper training in this context. Vidya Chetana wants to fill these voids by providing necessary training models to facilitate better imparting of basic academic education.
The training program was conducted by Vikyat, Coordinator, Vidya Chetana. The program was attended by 48 teachers.
