Without clean water, children remain susceptible to preventable diseases, families struggle to restore their livelihoods, and the community faces ongoing challenges that hinder long-term development. The daily search for water diverts time and energy away from education, work, and rebuilding, perpetuating hardship even after conflict has ended.
Providing safe water does more than improve health. It restores dignity to families who have endured hardship. It builds resilience, enabling communities to better withstand future challenges. It supports education, allowing children—especially girls—to attend school instead of searching for water. And it helps families truly begin to rebuild and recover after years of displacement.
