During our recent field assessment, we observed firsthand the ongoing challenges families face. Years of conflict have left the community’s water infrastructure in ruins, and recent flooding has only worsened the situation. Many families still rely on unsafe streams, placing children and vulnerable households at constant risk of waterborne diseases.
Yet, amid these challenges, we encountered remarkable resilience. The people of Ortese have not lost hope. Families are rebuilding their lives with determination and courage, eager for an opportunity to move forward.
