This year's International Day of Education reminded the world that learning is the foundation of lasting peace.
In Benue State, children living in displacement camps are proving that every day. Despite losing their homes to violence, they continue to learn, laugh, and dream. Their courage inspires us. But peace is built on more than classrooms.
It also depends on children being healthy enough to attend school, families having access to clean water, and communities recovering with dignity. Today, thousands of children still face daily risks because safe water remains out of reach. Contaminated water continues to spread diseases that interrupt education, deepen poverty, and undermine recovery.
GoGreen is working to change that by restoring safe water systems in vulnerable communities affected by conflict.
