In Ortese, Benue State, children’s dreams are derailed by something as basic as water. Years of conflict have destroyed infrastructure, forcing families to rely on contaminated streams for drinking, cooking, and washing. The result? A surge in waterborne diseases like diarrhea and cholera. According to UNICEF, over 70,000 Nigerian children under five die each year from water-related illnesses. These are preventable tragedies.
Your support will bring clean water to Ortese by funding boreholes and filtration systems. This means healthier children, fewer missed school days, and a real chance for families to rebuild after conflict. Safe water isn’t just a need—it’s a right and a foundation for every other aspect of life.
By joining us, you help shield children from disease and support families striving to recover. Let’s make safe water—and hope—a reality for Ortese’s children.
