Project area is Socio-economically back ward. Major population is marginalized communities & marginal famers. Agriculture is the only means of livelihood. JRDS is presently runs Nursery to 7th grade & boarding to orphan & poor children and plans to upgrade to 10th grade. School building needs repair additional class rooms, library, labs & sports equipment to provide quality and competitive education to 410 poor children from 30 villages and school compound since it is vulnerable to wild animals.
Project area is socioeconomically backward with major populations are marginalized communities and marginal farmers & agricultural laborers. All the villages have lower secondary schools with poor infrastructure and teaching faculties. Most of the villages do not have higher secondary schools. Policy of Government is not to detain children up to 9th grade. Grade 10 is public exam; here the poor and orphan children drop out since they can't offered to have external coaching from the grade one.
To address the problem of competitive and quality education to poor children up to 10th grade and accessibility, the Holy Angel School plans to upgrade to 10th grade with full-fledged infrastructures, qualified faculties, science labs, library, sports equipment, auditorium and transportation to provide quality and competitive education to poor and orphan children from project villages. The school has the credibility of providing quality and competitive education to the rural poor children.
The school has the credibility in providing quality & competitive education. Many children have excelled in professional education & competitive jobs. Upgrading of school to 10th grade will give access to rural children for higher education with transportation facility. More than 30 villages will benefit. School provides boarding to orphans. More than 400 children will be studying in this school. Education of rural children will give impact on socioeconomic of the communities in the longer run.
