Dear All,
Greetings from Save The Children India!
Children lay at the heart of everyonne. Almost everyone readily connects with the sheer joy and energy childrens' bring to our lives and society in general. They are the building blocks of every developmental stone that we carve into the society, towards a change we wish to see.
Quality of Education of Balwadi or ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) is thus a major concern. Unfortunately, the delivery of old school education was harden on the belief of rut, fear and moral policing the children to shape their behaviour that defined them and the society they live in tomorrow.
It is hence, very essential to revive the quality of ECCE, which Save The Children India has been consitently doing since 31 years, through a transformative vision formed by Late Mrs. Vipula Kadri, who was an enlightened philantrophist and a socially-minded indidvidual, who took it to the streets despite her famous background; wife to Mr. I. M. Kadri, (today 96) - a famous architect of Mumbai. From ground zero, which was once a drive-in-cinema that operated in the night, she transformed the vacant land in the day for schooling underpriveledge children under the trees.. which today has culminated into a five-storey Special School for Children with Special Needs, and outreach programmes on improving the quality of ECCE in close-aid with government established balwadi schools in Mumbai, Pune and Delhi.
Watch this heart-warming cover video to see how our children are enjoying our quality education programmes. .
Please care to share your love across in form of donation, to extend our reach to more government balwadis for improviing the quality of education for children below the age of 6 years.
