Meeting & Exceeding Housing Goals in Oregon

By Devon Hoyt | Director of Development & Communications

All Good Northwest is proud to share that our shelter programs had housed over 300 individuals - which means we house someone experiencing houselessness every 2.9 days!! This incredible milestone was made possible thanks to larger efforts throughout Oregon including the Oregon All In Initiative and Housing Multnomah Now. By collaborating with county and city leaders, we've been able to provide housing opportunities to our shelter participants faster than ever before. When one of our participants moves into their new home, they receive a full move-in kit including a sofa, a bed, pots & pans, cleaning supplies, bathroom supplies, and other special touches that make a home a home.

Our Retention team continues to grow so we can meet these rapid housing demands and they make sure that newly housed individuals know who to call when they have questions about bills, landlord issues, and other various appointments. The goal is always to make sure people not only get housed, but stay housed.  Housing retention is the critical key to solving houselessness. Without it, many of our participants would struggle to maintain long-term housing.

Both the Oregon All In initiative and Housing Multnomah Now challenged our teams to house people quickly and asked us to meet their housing goals by June 30th. We are on track to meet those markers and beyond!
