Mobile Retention Team Expansion!

By Devon Hoyt | Director of Development & Communications

Exciting things are happening! We can now offer our village program participants services beyond move out day! Our programming has expanded to include mobile retention services. With retention services, our participants will now experience the same wrap-around care they received in shelter, in their new permanent homes!

The Mobile Retention Team was formed with funding through Oregon Governor Tina Kotek's All In Initiative. This team is solely focused on supporting former All Good Northwest shelter participants who have transitioned into permanent housing. Led by our Director of Retention Services, the MRT team performs supportive services such as facilitating relationships with landlords and neighbors, connecting participants with access to health and wellness care, arranging access to transportation, and providing resource navigation with rental assistance, utility payments, and housekeeping & hygiene services. The support of the Mobile Retention Team helps smooth the oftentimes stressful transition between shelter and permanent housing.

In other news, our village programs saw a record breaking 44 participants move into permanent housing in October 2023. We were able to achieve this incredible number thanks to the efforts of Governor Kotek and Multnomah County. We are also proud to share that our incredible behavioral health team have provided nearly 25,000 hours of behavioral health support to our program participants since their launch in 2021. Every day we see the impact of our work and with your support we are making a difference in the lives of those experiencing houselessness. Thank you!
