Help train, equip, and support dedicated rural teachers in underserved Nasarawa communities, ensuring children in remote villages receive quality education, mentorship, and hope for a brighter future.
Across Nasarawa State, hundreds of rural children attend schools where no qualified teacher is available. In some villages, one volunteer teaches over 100 pupils in a classroom without books or desks. The result is tragic, bright young children grow up unable to read or write, their dreams cut short by the absence of something as basic as a teacher.
This project by Empower Future Initiative (EFI) will support 25 rural community school teachers serving in remote areas of Nasarawa State. We will provide training in modern teaching methods, classroom management, and child-centered learning, along with teaching materials and a modest monthly stipend. These community teachers, many of whom are passionate youth and women, will bridge the teacher gap, bringing knowledge and hope to rural children who have been left behind.
At least 1,200 children access quality basic education through supported teachers. Improved teacher morale, attendance, and classroom engagement. Strengthened partnership between communities and local education authorities. Sustainable teaching capacity built within rural areas of Nasarawa State.
