By Sarah El Massaoudi | Project Leader
Adnan, our Palestinian student in his second year for a degree in Computer Science, has been very active in and out of his classrooms. He recently took it upon himself to build a website inspired by WeAreNotNumbers.org. He took this project as an opportunity to practice his front-end design skills to build a platform that can be used to share stories of Palestinians in Malaysia.
Adnan also participates and organises various Stand with Palestine solidarity events with his classmates at their University and town in Kedah, Malaysia. More than a hundred students attended these events. The Palestinian diaspora in Malaysia are strong and have a camaraderie that cannot be shaken. They recognise the power in their voices and actions. Adnan will continue to spend his time finding new ways to integrate his computer science skills into his advocacy.
"I show stand of solidarity with my people, increasing the awareness about Palestine issues. My project will do the same. I wanted to do something that could help my people. I am interested in Web Development, so I started this project on my own to self-learn." - Adnan
