Thanks to your support we have already been able to provide materials and activities to provide entertainment for the children that come to The Royal Marsden to receive their treatment.
Since we joined GlobalGiving we have been able to organise a number of arts and craft sessions for the children. These special sessions have allowed the children to make their own masquerade masks for a ward party as well Christmas cards for their families. These sessions are a great way to encourage children to leave their rooms and interact with others going through similar experiences.
We has also been able to update the Children’s ward DVD library and on a visit to the ward you can often hear the children laughing at Disney’s Inside Out or having a film party to watch Jurassic World.
Patients are at the heart of everything we do and we are committed to ensuring that they receive the best treatment and facilities possible. It really is due to the support of people such as yourself that we have a world-class cancer centre for children and young people at The Royal Marsden.
