Old age is an unavoidable part of our life cycle and should be lived gracefully rather than grudgingly. IAB has been working for 34 + years in empowering people with visual challenges through education, training, employment, and support services. One of the major programs of IAB support service is the old Age pension support for the visually challenged families which was started in 2015 with just 10 beneficiaries and now it has reached 50 beneficiaries.
Through 7 donors, this project has received $516 this year. We consider more to raise more for this noble cause. Because every penny is changing one's life. IAB identifies the poor elderly visually challenged people from rural areas of Tamilnadu and providing the basic needs of living for VI people of the age group 50+ by providing a small amount as pension to them which can be a part of their living expenses. This support helps the visually challenged senior citizens and their families to meet their essential expenses.
As always, we, along with GlobalGiving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries.
