Dear friends, thank you for supporting our project at the Winter 2012 Global Open Challenge and helping us raise funds for the children’s hematology department at the Institute of Oncology in Chisinau, Moldovan capital. We are excited to share good news with you! Thanks to your support, we were able to purchase 2 infusion pumps, and 300 extension and 100 transfusion sets to serve department’s needs.
Infusion pumps are essential in cancer therapy, particularly in treatment of young patients where precise dosage and consistent injection are required over long periods of time. The pumps significantly reduce the risk of side effects and complications. They also free up mothers who would otherwise sit with their children and control injection process done via standard dropping bottle.
New equipment was delivered to the children’s hematology department and was already put in function. The department’s staff has asked us to thank all supporters and we are happy to do so! Thank you so much and we hope for your continuous support while we keep serving Moldovan children with oncological diagnoses and their families.
