Donor Sponsors Expansion of HOPE Azad Kashmir MCHC

Dear HOPE Friends,

Anonymous Donor Sponsors Expansion of HOPE USA's Azad Kashmir Maternal & Child Health Center

In September 2021, HOPE USA debuted a Maternal & Child Health Center in a remote mountain area in Azad Kashmir called Langarpura.

‍‍‍ This center provides free/nominal cost healthcare to 20,000 women and children annually and was funded by private donors as well as our longtime nonprofit supporter, Darul Sadaqa 786.

In April 2023 (Ramadan), an anonymous donor constructed an entire upper level for our Azad Kashmir MCHC.

This facility is now equipped for inpatient care as well as normal and cesarean deliveries, thereby having a direct impact upon Maternal and Infant Morality in the region.

HOPE USA is working hard to meet the needs of the surrounding community and we are extremely grateful to our anonymous supporter for graciously funding an entire wing of this facility.

All of HOPE USA's maternal care facilities rely upon implementation of "The Three Delays" model postulated by Thaddeus and Maine in 1994. This model has been used for decades in developing countries to assess and minimize the risk of Maternal Mortality.

We are persevering towards reducing Maternal Mortality in Pakistan, despite the overbearing challenges of a country burdened with poverty rates of 25 to 40 percent.

We pray that our donor's selfless and life-saving gesture towards the poor becomes a perpetual charity for him and alleviates any and all hardships he is facing. Ameen!

Warm regards,

The HOPE USA Team
