The Marine Raider Foundation is honored to be a charity partner at the 2020 Mint 400 Military Challenge to raise awareness & financial support for military veterans & to highlight the military's ongoing involvement in off-road culture. The Marine Raider team will race for the Marine Raider Foundation to support its mission that includes providing adaptive equipment to wounded, ill & injured Marine Raiders, as well as funding for programs that promote personal, professional & family resiliency.
Marine Raiders continue to fight at the "tip of the spear" around the world in support of missions handed down from United States Special Operations Command. The kinetic & demanding training exercises & missions executed during deployments are challenging mentally & physically, sometimes resulting in wounds and injuries. Military health insurance covers some, but not all treatment equipment and services, leaving a gap that the MARSOC Foundation/Marine Raider Foundation is committed to filling.
The funds raised from this project will allow Marine Raiders and their families to fully focus on the full rehabilitation of the Marine or Sailor, lifting the burden and stress of dealing with out-of-pocket expenses directly related to the combat wound, training injury, or illness that Raider is recovering from. The MARSOC Foundation d/b/a Marine Raider Foundation has provided over $600,000 to wounded, ill and injured Marine Raiders since 2012, reiterating the need for this type of support.
This project will improve the personal and professional resiliency of Marine Raiders, as well as the resiliency of their families. Giving Marine Raiders the very best medical care to battle wounds, injuries and illness ensures that the Raider community remains mission-ready and able to fulfill their duty. It also sends a powerful message to the Marine Raider community that their service and sacrifice do not go unnoticed, and in the occurrence of crisis, they will be taken care of.
