GlobalGiving Site Visit

By Clinton Misamore | Field Program Officer

ABC highlighted The God's Child Project on the year long campaign "Be The Change- Save A Life." Why? It's probably because The God's Child Project is doing both-- instilling positive change & saving lives. Even more, they are doing a great job at both! The Gods Child Project, or as I refer to it The Garden of Eden, was one of the highlights of my fieldwork assignment. They are among the most established, well-run operations I had the chance to visit over the past three months. Their entire staff tackles sensitive issues head-on while simultaneously utilizing great diligence, analysis, and reflection. From human trafficking to operating homeless shelters, from educating children to generating global awareness, The God's Child Project does it all. The Casa Jackson Home is just one realization of this fact. At Casa Jackson, children are sick. There is no denying it. What Casa Jackson seeks to address is nourishing the malnourished. Moreover, there is a strong understanding that a more robust approach needs to be adhered to in nutritional education. Therefore, they are working with the communities to address these problems. The technicalities of their approach are beyond the scope of my short synopsis, so take my word. Whether for volunteers or for your annual charitable contributions, The God's Child Project is a great place to invest both your time and/or money. I would like to kindly thank Mr. Luke Armstrong for his willingness to transparently exhibit their amazing work. It's truly a team effort at The God's Child Project. And finally, I think it's worth mentioning that a large number of their employees are former beneficiaries of their services. If this doesn't convince you that the model works than nothing else will.Baby being nurtured at Casa Jackson
