In Al-Dhahiriya Village Camp in northern Syria, displaced families continue to live through extremely difficult conditions. Many of them have lost their homes, their jobs, and the stability they once depended on. Among the most vulnerable residents are orphaned children, widowed women, and families with little or no regular income.
Through this initiative, we continue distributing freshly baked bread to displaced families across the camp, helping them meet one of their most basic daily needs.
For many households, bread is not simply one item among many. It is often the foundation of every meal. Families may eat it with whatever small amount of food is available, and on difficult days, bread alone may be all they have.
For widowed mothers, the daily responsibility of feeding children without a stable source of income creates enormous pressure. For orphaned children, access to regular food is essential for both their health and their sense of security.
A few loaves of fresh bread can bring immediate relief to a family that has spent the day worrying about food.
Our distributions help reduce this burden by ensuring that vulnerable families receive bread free of charge. This allows them to save their limited resources for other urgent needs such as medicine, heating, clothing, or school supplies.
We remain committed to continuing this support for as long as the need remains.
Every loaf delivered is more than food. It is a reminder to displaced families that they are not alone and that their needs have not been forgotten.
