In displacement camps, the smallest necessities can become the greatest daily challenges.
In Al-Dhahiriya Camp in northern Syria, displaced families, widows, and orphaned children are living with very limited resources. Many depend on humanitarian assistance to secure basic food.
Our bread distribution initiative is designed to provide fresh bread directly to families who are struggling to afford enough food for their households.
For many beneficiaries, bread is served at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is one of the few food items that families rely on consistently. When bread becomes unaffordable, the entire household feels the impact.
Providing fresh bread means helping a family get through the day with greater security and dignity.
Children receive food. Widows are able to save their limited resources for other necessities such as medicine, clothing, or heating. Families who have already lost so much receive a reminder that they have not been forgotten.
As needs continue, we hope to maintain this support and reach even more vulnerable households.
