The cost of food continues to place heavy pressure on displaced families across northern Syria. While prices rise, income opportunities remain extremely limited, creating a widening gap between what families need and what they can actually afford.
For many displaced households, even the cheapest food items are becoming difficult to purchase regularly. Bread, which is consumed daily, is one of the expenses families cannot avoid.
Large families can require several bags of bread every day, creating a continuous financial burden. For families without stable work, meeting this basic need becomes increasingly difficult.
Some families cope by eating fewer meals, reducing portion sizes, or prioritizing children while adults go without enough food.
Bread assistance can help prevent these difficult choices. By distributing fresh bread regularly, humanitarian projects can provide families with a reliable source of basic nutrition.
Every bread distribution helps reduce hunger and gives vulnerable families one less daily expense to worry about.
