Thousands of displaced families are currently living in scattered camps across northern Syria, where daily life remains extremely difficult. Many of these families have lost their homes, jobs, savings, and sources of income, leaving them unable to provide even the most basic necessities for their children.
Among all daily needs, bread remains one of the most essential food items for displaced families. It is consumed every day and often represents the main component of meals, especially for families who cannot afford meat, vegetables, or other nutritious foods on a regular basis.
Due to rising food prices and limited employment opportunities, many families are struggling to purchase enough bread for all household members. Some parents are forced to reduce the amount of food they eat so that their children can have enough.
Providing fresh bread can directly reduce hunger and ease the financial pressure on vulnerable families. Regular bread distributions can help ensure that children, elderly people, widows, and families with no stable income have access to a basic source of food.
Continued support is urgently needed to reach more displaced families and help them meet one of their most basic daily needs with dignity.
