Across the Gaza Strip, displaced families continue to face severe challenges in securing enough food for their children and loved ones. Many families have lost their homes, livelihoods, savings, and the basic resources they once relied upon to meet their daily needs.
For families living in displacement sites and temporary shelters, obtaining even basic food items can be extremely difficult. Parents are often forced to reduce the number of meals they prepare or depend on whatever assistance becomes available.
Providing food assistance can help families meet some of their most urgent daily needs. Support can be used to distribute essential items such as flour, rice, legumes, cooking oil, canned food, and other staples, depending on local availability and the needs identified on the ground.
Every food parcel represents more than a collection of supplies. It can provide a displaced family with several essential ingredients needed to prepare meals and reduce the daily uncertainty surrounding food.
Continued donor support is essential to help humanitarian teams respond to these needs and reach vulnerable displaced families across Gaza. Together, we can help families facing displacement and hardship access one of life’s most fundamental necessities: food.
