In Abu Mazeed Camp in the Deir Al-Balah area of northern Gaza, the daily struggle of many displaced families begins with one of life’s most basic needs: water.
Families living in the camp face serious daily difficulties accessing safe and clean drinking water. With essential services disrupted, resources increasingly scarce, and temperatures rising, securing water has become another heavy burden for households already living through displacement, loss, and instability.
In response to this urgent need, we carried out a new distribution of safe drinking water inside Abu Mazeed Camp, delivering water directly to vulnerable families and helping ease part of the pressure they face each day.
For many households, every container or tank of water delivered to the camp saves hours of waiting and searching. It gives children safe water to drink, allows mothers to prepare food and care for their families, and helps elderly people and patients who may not be able to travel far in search of water.
Clean water is not a secondary form of aid in Gaza; it is an essential need directly connected to health, survival, and human dignity. As shortages continue, families without access to safe sources may be forced to depend on poor-quality water, increasing hardship and creating additional risks for the most vulnerable.
This distribution was more than a delivery of water. It was a simple humanitarian intervention with a profound impact. For a family living in a temporary shelter, having clean water nearby means greater comfort, safer care for children, and one less source of daily anxiety.
Thanks to your donations, we were able to stand beside these families in one of their most urgent needs. Every contribution helped bring water to someone who needed it, and every donation created a direct impact in the life of a displaced family.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who continues to support water and emergency relief efforts in Gaza. Your continued support means continued access to clean water, continued hope, and continued solidarity with families who are still struggling every single day.
