Safe Drinking Water Reaches Displaced Families in Al-Shabab Camp - Gaza

By AMAL ALUMMA ORGANIZATION INC | project Leader

Amid the extremely difficult humanitarian conditions facing displaced families in Gaza, access to safe drinking water remains one of the most urgent needs for people living in camps and temporary shelters.

As part of our ongoing response, we provided and distributed safe drinking water to displaced families living in Al-Shabab Camp in the Deir Al-Balah area of northern Gaza. Families there continue to face serious challenges in securing even the most basic necessities of daily life.

For many households inside the camp, access to clean water is never guaranteed. With damaged infrastructure, limited access to safe water sources, and extreme heat, searching for water has become an exhausting part of everyday life. The burden is especially heavy on children, elderly people, patients, and mothers trying to meet their families’ needs with extremely limited resources.

Through this project, our team was able to deliver water directly to families inside the camp, easing some of their daily hardship and helping them secure water for drinking, food preparation, and other essential needs.

Under these conditions, every supply of clean water means far more than relief from thirst. It protects health, eases the burden on mothers, brings safety to children, and restores a measure of dignity to families who have already lost so much.

Continued water distributions depend directly on donor support. As needs remain high and temperatures rise, families require regular supplies of safe water so they are not forced to rely on unsafe sources or travel long distances to obtain it.

To every donor who made this project possible: thank you. Because of your support, water reached families who urgently needed it, and part of their daily burden was eased. Your generosity provides more than water—it reminds families that they are not alone.
