Report Two: Thanks to Your Support, Warm Meals Reach Displaced Families in Deir Al-Balah

By AMAL ALUMMA ORGANIZATION INC | project Leader

As part of our continued efforts to respond to the growing humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip, our team carried out a hot meal distribution project for displaced families living in Abu Jumaiza Camp in the Deir Al-Balah area, northern Gaza Strip.

Displaced families in this camp face daily difficulties in obtaining food. Many have lost their homes and sources of income and now depend heavily on humanitarian assistance to meet their most basic needs. Food shortages, limited access to clean water and fuel for cooking, and the absence of suitable kitchens inside the tents have made preparing a hot meal nearly impossible for many households.

In response to this urgent need, our team prepared hot meals and distributed them directly to families inside the camp. This intervention provided ready-to-eat food to households that could not afford to purchase or prepare meals. It also eased some of the emotional and practical pressure faced by mothers who struggle every day to feed their children.

During the distribution, we worked to reach the most vulnerable families, including households headed by widows, families caring for orphaned children, elderly people, and individuals living with difficult health conditions. The meals were received with deep gratitude, particularly because warm and freshly prepared food has become increasingly rare under the current circumstances.

These meals represent more than temporary food assistance. They provide families with a sense of care and security and help them maintain their strength and dignity during an exceptionally difficult period. Every meal delivered means that a child does not have to sleep hungry and that a mother can feel reassured, even for one day, knowing that her children have received food.

Thank you to everyone who supported this project. Your donations are making a real difference in the lives of displaced families and helping us continue delivering food, comfort, and hope to those who need it most.
