Amid the harsh humanitarian conditions faced by displaced families in the Gaza Strip, our teams continue to implement urgent relief interventions to meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable households. This time, we prepared and distributed hot meals to displaced families living in Abu Jumaiza Camp in the Deir Al-Balah area, northern Gaza Strip.
Families in the camp are living under extremely difficult conditions after being forced to leave their homes and seek shelter in tents and displacement centers that lack even the most basic necessities of life. With the continued shortage of food supplies, rising prices, and limited access to fuel and cooking facilities, preparing a daily meal has become a major challenge, especially for mothers struggling to provide food for their children without a stable income or sufficient resources.
The meals were carefully prepared and distributed to displaced families, with priority given to children, widows, elderly people, and households facing the most severe living conditions. This distribution provided families with warm and nourishing food and temporarily relieved them of the daily burden of searching for something to eat.
For these families, the hot meals were more than just food. They were a message of care, solidarity, and reassurance that they are not alone during these difficult times. The gratitude visible on the faces of children and mothers showed the meaningful impact that even a simple form of assistance can have on people experiencing displacement and hardship.
We sincerely thank all the donors who contributed to this project. Because of your support, we were able to deliver warm meals to displaced families and provide them with moments of comfort, dignity, and hope amid their daily suffering.
