Food, Water & Medical Aid for Families

Dear Donors,

Thanks to your generous support, we were able to implement a special initiative for displaced orphaned children living in one of the displacement camps in northern Gaza. Instead of providing pre-selected aid items, we distributed shopping vouchers that allowed the children themselves to choose the things they wanted most.

For many of these children, years of displacement, poverty, and hardship have deprived them not only of basic necessities but also of the simple joy of choosing something for themselves. Many of them have spent years hearing about certain foods, treats, toys, and personal items without ever having the chance to taste, own, or enjoy them.

Through these vouchers, the children were able to walk through the shops, look at the available items, and select what brought them happiness. Some chose their favorite snacks, others selected clothing, school supplies, or small personal belongings they had long wished for. What may seem like a simple choice to many of us became a priceless moment of dignity, independence, and joy for these orphaned children.

The smiles on their faces as they made their own decisions were a powerful reminder that humanitarian aid is not only about meeting physical needs, but also about restoring hope, confidence, and a sense of normal childhood.
