Faced with the stress and challenges of been stranded in towns different from where they had been before because of the ongoing warring situations in the Anglophone regions and other regions of Cameroon; women and girls are still faced with very challenging situations which range from lack of Shelter (housing), food, economic livelihood and access to basic health care services like Antenatal care services.
These challenges which we try to provide assistance too are increasing daily especially with many new cases of vulnerable pregnant women or women-led households with no assistance or access to good food and finances to meet up with live's daily demands.
In the last quarter we have provided assistance to 20 more women and girls and worked with partners like UNICEF in distributing antiseptic soaps to IDPs.
We can only continue doing this work with kind donations from you, your family and friends which is why today we call on you to make a donation to support internally displaced women and girls and share our work amongst your networks.
Through our Her Voice Club and our Women Empowerment and Support Network (WESuN) we have hosted capacity building workshops, outreach programs, supported under-privileged women by registering them for Health Insurance and hosting skills acquisition and capacity building workshops.
Health Assistance: We also provide medical assistance and support, psychosocial support to victims of GBV, violation and vulnerable pregnant women and girls under our Her Voice My Voice project. In 2021 we supported 5 vulnerable pregnant girls through ANC to delivery and continue to provide mentorship and economic assistance to them.

Thanks to amazing support from donors like you. We have been able to build capacity of 60 internally displaced women through our Support internally displaced women project, which ha as goal to support peace building initiative for 60 women who are victims of war and also internally displaced as a result of the Anglophone crisis to become peace agents, to help them heal and recover from the pains as well as provide hope to them.
We have organised a workshop where we provided capacity building and training support to enhance the technical skills of these 60 internally displaced women to better influence and participate in peace processes as negotiators and mediators, as well as gain skills to support victims of sexual violence in conflict affected situations.
We also educated them on the importance of self care and trauma healing. This is to ensure that women affected by the crisis gained knowledge on some health strategies in coping with trauma so as to recover from the pains and are prevented from becoming violent. Also, these women were informed on the various service centres working on issues of violence especially violence against women, to raise awareness on where to report such cases.
‘Women and children’ – a phrase often used as a byword for ‘civilians’ – are assumed to be weaker, less rational, and in need of protection, which is provided in exchange for submission to the leadership of their protectors.
The vulnerability of women and girls who have been affected by the ongoing Anglophone Crisis in Cameroon continues to increase and as an effort to contribute our quota to provide support for them through generous support and donations from donors like yourself. Find below an update of our impact in the last quarter;
1. Policy and Advocacy:
Displaced populations, often unaffected by national policies and priorities, may remain marginalized by national government gender mainstreaming efforts. We continue our work to push for gender favourable policies, programmes that provide the right needed support to women, children and girls who are victims of the ongoing crisis.
We also monitor and evaluate ongoing funded national programmes to ensure they are meeting the needs of the intended beneficiaries.
2. Health Assistance
We are currently providing health assistance to 10 internally displaced women by paying for their health assistance annual subscription fee with BEPHA Heath Assistance program.
3. Documentation Project
With other stakeholders we are currently running a project for support to get necessary lost documentation (IDs, birth certificates etc) as a result of burning, loss while fleeing from previous living locations etc.
