For several years, with your help, we have enabled talented young throat-singers to continue their career path. Throat-singing is essential to the survival of the at-risk Altai culture.
Now it is time for the summer cultural gathering of the Altai people at Elo Village in the Onguday District. Our young singers perform there, and meet with other singers to learn songs from far-flung villages and compete for honors with singers who come from as far away as Kazakhstan and Khakasia.
From there, they will continue to practice their art during their summer break from university study by giving community concerts in schools and cultural centers. Thank you for your continued support to make this happen!
