This humanitarian project is aimed at struggling against the risks and sufferings of the endemic disease Chagas for 10000 people living in the localities of Villa Rio Bemejito, Espinillo and Miraflore
General objective Contribute to the socio-health epidemiological of the Chagas disease in the Chaco region Specific objective: To increase the access to the diagnosis and prevention of the Chagas disease in indigenous communities Tobas of three municipalities in the North of Argentina Strengthening the education, health prevention and promotion of the local community organization about Health and Chagas disease. Beneficiaries :Indigenous communities (10 000 : adults and children)
-Community fumigations in each house -training of health promoters in strategies of prevention of Chagas and Health. - Elaboration of prevention materials to be used by the community health promoters
Results of the project : -30% of the beneficiary population will carry out the diagnosis test of Chagas -Provision of inputs/materials for the three health centres of the local public system -Training of 30 indigenous health promoters in Chagas
