Dear Friends,

Greetings from Indian Dreams Foundation!

First of all, we at Indian Dreams Foundation thank you for your generous support for our disaster relief project “WE CARE” that addresses the health & hygiene issues of adolescent girls, women & children of the flood-affected areas.

We started WE CARE project in 2017 when district weather department of Barabanki Uttar Pradesh India had declared that Ghaghara River crossed its danger mark and declared the flood in many regions in Uttar Pradesh. Hetmapur Udhiya is a small village in the "Batnera Village Panchayat", located on the bank of Ghaghara River at the Suratganj block of the Barabanki district in the Uttar Pradesh state of India.

With your kind support, we served women and children of Hetmapur village, through awareness generation workshops on menstrual hygiene management and WASH practices and distributed hygiene kits to the girls and women for their dignity; we also distributed stationary kits to the school children. We are dedicated to improving the lives of women & girls by proving them right and important information on reproductive health and rights.

The project has indicated positive changes among the villagers towards their health and hygiene practices for managing their lives affected by this disaster and now conditions are controlled in the village. However, this project will no longer active on Global Giving. We request you all to donate for the same cause through our other project that also rigorously working to improve the reproductive & sexual health of the adolescent girls and women from the urban & rural slums of Agra district, Uttar Pradesh, India.
