Support 15 Human Trafficking Survivors in Romania

Thank you for all your support shown to our cause. We are proud to announce you that, over the past 3 years, we succeeded to help 39 survivors by covering their basic needs (medical, legal, psychological, food, hygiene, transportation) as well as long term challenges – educational needs, finding a job, subscribing to professional training courses.

Some highlights of the previous reporting period are as follows:

• 2 survivors have been repatriated from the country they have been exploited in back to Romania
• 2 survivors received legal help throughout their trial and fight for moral damage

Due to some administrative challenges we have faced, we have recently decided to transfer the program to another organization, Reaching Out Romania, who has been working with survivors for over 15 years. They plan to open a shelter for these survivors, which would create a very good context for their empowerment and social reintegration. All the money left from your generous donations will be transferred to the new organization and used only for the purpose of helping survivors of the human trafficking. We trust that they will continue our work and provide help a lot of people in need.
