Support 15 Human Trafficking Survivors in Romania

We are happy to report that we are currently working with 11 human trafficking survivors in the Cluj and Alba counties of Northwest Romania. We have partnered closely with the local and national public authorities in the successful repatriations of three new survivors, two of whom were trafficked abroad. We feel very privileged for the opportunity to walk alongside these survivors, step-by-step, in their rehabilitation and reintegration process.

Some highlights of the previous reporting period are as follows:

• 8 of the beneficiaries have had their basic needs met in the form of food, rent, and/or hygiene assistance

• 5 of the beneficiaries have sought legal assistance
  • 1 obtained a paid lawyer
  • 2 received assistance with their court hearings
  • 2 obtained assistance in court

• 4 of the beneficiaries have secured medical assistance in one or more of the following areas: medical check-ups, gynecological consultations, and/or psychiatric help
  • 9 survivors have received psychological counseling
