Report: Educate 2,000 Girls in Rural Sindh

By Dr. Khadim Dahot | Managing Director

Dear Supporters,

We are grateful to everyone who continues to believe in the right of every girl to access quality education and build a brighter future.

During this first quarter, Sewa Development Trust Sindh (SDTS) did not receive any funding through GlobalGiving for this project. As a result, we were not able to implement the planned activities at the scale originally envisioned or provide direct educational support to additional girls through this project during the reporting period.

Despite the absence of funding, SDTS remains committed to the goal of supporting the education of 2,000 girls in rural Sindh, where many children; particularly girls from low income and marginalized families; continue to face barriers to accessing and remaining in school. Our organization has extensive experience working with communities to promote girls' education and has previously supported the enrollment and retention of thousands of out of school children through community mobilization, youth volunteers, schools, and engagement with local education authorities.

The need remains urgent. Families in rural communities often face financial hardship and other social and practical barriers that prevent girls from attending school regularly. With adequate funding, this project will enable SDTS to reach vulnerable girls through community outreach, education support, learning materials, awareness activities, and engagement with parents and communities.

We are therefore appealing to our GlobalGiving supporters to contribute to this project. Every donation, regardless of size, can help us move closer to our goal of reaching 2,000 girls and creating opportunities for them to learn, remain in school, and build a more secure future.

Your support can help transform education from an opportunity that is out of reach into a realistic possibility for girls living in underserved rural communities.

We sincerely hope that our supporters and new donors will join us in this effort. Together, we can help rural girls access education, strengthen their confidence and opportunities, and create lasting positive change for their families and communities.

Thank you for standing with SDTS and for believing that every girl deserves the chance to learn and thrive.

With gratitude,

Sewa Development Trust Sindh (SDTS)
Khairpur, Sindh, Pakistan
