With emerging of physical health coupled with traditional issues that marginalized girls and women across the globe including Bangladesh from March 2023; the vulnerability of girls and women has increased to the greatest extent. This was confirmed from a mini research that was conducted by DDEF from February to September, 2023; when it registered 20 girls for its designed program on Home Economics; 50% only reported on the 30/9/2023 and the balance of 50% dropped out because of those.
Although girls and women have long history of marginalization, globally; it is unfortunate that, the majority of girls that are going to school at Angic public primary school at Barguna Bangladesh, in particular; are faced with the extreme high rate of school dropout because of the same; given that: this school had been the waste performing primary school with the district; with the emerging of physical health from March, 2023; the situation is more than double.
Given that: the spread of the virus is scaling down globally; with the advice from World Health Organization that: Handwashing remains the No. 1 tip for preventing the spread of health support; DDEF is therefore contented that, to promote quality, sustainable and potential education in Barguna district; the organization will continue to advocate for the prevention of health support by providing homes, schools and Hospitals with liquid soap and face masks.
DDEF has designed a program of Home Economics; that is, meant to train and employ those increasing high rate of girls dropping out of school from school; beginning with 10 girls from Village of Raihanpur Barguna District, Bangadesh. As a means of piloting the ongoing program at Raihanpur.
