Chronic kidney disease and its risks factors remain a huge burden in Nigeria with devastating outcomes. With your help, we have touched lives of men, women and children living with this disease through treatment support and our preventive programs including awareness campaigns and advocacy on social media.
In the last few months, we screened over 500 adults for CKD and provided free antihypertensives and antidiabetic medicines to people residing in two rural communities in Delta, Nigeria. Our free kidney clinic remains open to our community, and we provide free consultation, subsidized medicines and laboratory tests.
Unfortunately, we still struggle to assist people already living with advanced kidney disease requiring dialysis or kidney transplant. We believe that with your unrelenting support and donations, we can bring smiles to the faces of more children, men and women who despite the scourge of CKD, wake up every morning hopeful for a better day.
