St Linus Renal Care Initiative has continued to provide support for patients with CKD and those at risk. Our current project which is aimed at providing essential medicines for patients with CKD has continued.
We have given out a wide range of antihypertensives and antidiabetics to CKD patients as well as those living with hypertension and diabetes in our communities. In addition, we provide free medical consultations and subsidised basic tests at our Walk-in Clinic. We continue to equip patients with blood pressure monitors to encourage self management.
We are proud of what we have achieved with your help, but the reality is our organisation is not able to service a majority of Nigerians who reach out to us for help. We have stuck with this project because it is relatively manageable compared to the huge resources required to support patients who need haemodialysis services or kidney transplantation. However, it breaks our heart that less than 1 out of 10 Nigerians with CKD can sustain haemodialysis or get kidney transplant.
St Linus Renal Care Initiative remains focused on her goals, but we need your sustained support to make a difference.
We are grateful to our donors for keeping us afloat and we will certainly accomplish more in the future together!
