The conflict is inflicting profound harm on children, with thousands reported killed or injured. They're caught in this devastating situation marked by destruction and violence, and a severe shortage of essentials. Despite the challenging situation, UNICEF is on the ground addressing humanitarian needs and bringing necessities like water, tents, and medical supplies to children. Although this is a start, the need is immense and consistent humanitarian access is critical to saving lives.
In this war, as in all wars, it is children who suffer the most. We are very concerned about the situation for children, and especially the physical and mental impact this violence has on children and their families. People are living with minimum access to safe water, there's a health system on the verge of collapse, and children urgently need mental health and psychosocial support.
With your contribution, UNICEF and partners will be able to address immediate needs in Gaza and the West Bank by providing emergency water, psychosocial support services for children, lifesaving medical supplies, and crucial nutritional support.
