English Report

The donations that have been raised for the project since our last report have now been utilized for extending the widows´ catering service. The widow´s cooperative has about 250 members. They engage in income generating activities in order to support each other, including their families. They also disallow practices such as widow inheritance and engage in informing about HIV. The catering is the most lucrative of their businesses. The widows cook for celebrations and funerals. In order to increase their income the have now invested in new tables, a tent and chairs. Furthermore they´ve taken part in a training about how to better cook and arrange food. The widows plan to expand their catering service due to high demand for their services. We´d like to thank our sponsors to contributing to the economic self-empowerment of the widows!
