Project Report | May 9, 2023
4,618 youths supported by the Hub in 2022

By Childline Thailand | Volunteer

The Hub provides homeless youths in Bangkok with free showers, food and medical care whilst helping them to progress out of street situations. Overall the project is going well and we are slowly changing the lives of a group of vulnerable teenagers, however we require further funding to make a bigger impact.

Hub Statistics

It's always important for the Hub to monitor and evaluate the work and projects being undertaken by the Childline Thailand team. Staff therefor record stats daily about interactions with children and produce data and statistical analylis to provide the best care and contribute to global information gathering. Data recently published by Childline shows that 4,618 youths were helped by the Hub in 2022, an average of 12 children per day. See more here childlinethailand.org/statistics/

International Day for Street Children (IDSC)

On the 12th of April, the Hub joined organisations around the world to recognise International Day for Street Children: a special day acknowledging the strength and resilience of millions of street children. Homeless youths supported by this project were provided with fun activities at the Hub. Childline also shared stories and social media posts about the events in order to raise awareness,

Surival Bags

A recent Hub initiative has seen the distribution of 131 survival bags. These bags contain essential basic needs supplies including cleaning products and vitamins to help those who sleep rough each night.

Thanks for reading our update! If you have any questions about how we're supporting homeless youths and using funds from this project please email info@childlinethailand.org and follow us on Facebook @childlinethailand and our website www.childlinethailand.org
