Severe monsoon rains and dam water releases have caused catastrophic floods across Pakistan. Over 200,000 people have been evacuated in Punjab as rivers overflow, while nationwide, the floods have claimed more than 800 lives. Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and AJK are among the hardest hit, with families losing homes, livelihoods, and loved ones. Akhuwat is on the ground providing food, shelter, and medical aid. With your support, we can bring urgent relief and hope.
Pakistan is facing one of its worst flood emergencies in recent years. "Exceptionally high" water levels in the Ravi, Sutlej, and Chenab rivers have displaced thousands of people in Punjab, while relentless monsoon rains continue to devastate Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Over 800 lives have already been lost. Families are left without shelter, food, or medical care, and urgent assistance is needed to prevent further tragedy.
With your help, Akhuwat is delivering immediate relief to flood-affected families by providing: -> Emergency food packs and clean drinking water -> Temporary shelters, bedding, and clothing -> Medical care to prevent disease outbreaks -> Support for long-term rehabilitation, including rebuilding homes and restoring livelihoods
Beyond urgent relief, Akhuwat will work with affected families to restore stability and dignity. By helping them rebuild their homes and livelihoods, we aim to reduce vulnerability to future disasters and strengthen community resilience.
